Three days into the tournament and the best teams are from Texas. Kansas looked painfully mortal in a close win against Oklahoma State. This means KU will win this tournament.
Texas looked awfully good in crushing Oklahoma by 20. Jordan Hamilton and Tristan Thompson combined for 35 points and 21 rebounds.
UT needs one win tonight against Texas A&M to possibly get a two-seed in the big boy bracket.
Don't bet on that win, though. The Aggies played a brutal brand of basketball and beat the H out of Missouri on Thursday night.
I fully realize a lot of people around Aggie Land still heart Billy Gillispie and will be massively bummed when he takes the Texas Tech job, but coach Mark Turgeon has done a fantastic job keeping the Aggies competitive, and nationally relevant.
UT defeated A&M twice already this season; the Horns won by 20 at home on Jan. 19 and 20 again in College Station on Jan. 31.
They're not going to do it a third time.
In the first game, Kansas plays Colorado. The Buffs are going to get in the tournament after beating Kansas State for the third time this season.
