Tech hires Parker to be deputy athletics director

Texas Tech has hired Joe Parker, an associate athletics director at Michigan for the past eight years, as the school’s deputy athletics director. Tech athletics director Kirby Hocutt announced the hiring today. Parker begins his new position in Lubbock on May 23.
