The A&M-SMU contest is one of three games involving Big 12 schools that shifted dates today for television purposes.
In addition, the Baylor-TCU game will be Friday, Sept. 2 in Waco (7 p.m., ESPN) and the Oklahoma at Iowa State game will be Friday, Nov. 18 (8 p.m., ESPN2).
