Baylor has signed cornerback Joe Williams, a cornerback from Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College, to a letter-of-intent, school officials announced today. Scott, who had 36 tackles and two interceptions last season, has three years of eligibility remaining.
Bears’ coach Art Briles said Williams, a former high school quarterback, projects as “a great pick-up for us” because of his speed and athleticism. Briles said he expects Williams, who will enroll in summer classes at Baylor, to “vie for playing time” next fall.
