The Boulder Daily Camera cited a source close to the situation Thursday that claimed Colorado coach Tad Boyle “will not pursue” an opportunity to succeed Mark Turgeon at Texas A&M and speculated he will receive a raise from his approximately $750,000 compensation package.
Neither Boyle nor CU athletic director Mike Bohn, however, has responded to requests to address the situation.
Boyle did not respond to a message left on his cellphone. Bohn has not addressed three requests over two days to his office asking if Texas A&M athletic director Bill Byrne requested permission to speak with Boyle.
Byrne has spoken with Aggies assistant coach Scott Spinelli, according to a source, though others indicate Byrne is not likely to take that route.
