Oklahoma moved its home football game against Iowa State to Nov. 26, two weeks later than originally scheduled, in a switch aimed at maximizing television opportunities for Big 12 teams during the 2011 season.
The move finalized the Sooners’ 2011 schedule, school officials announced today. Oklahoma, a strong contender to be ranked No. 1 in multiple pre-season college football polls, will have six home games, five road games and a neutral-site meeting against Texas (Oct. 8 in Dallas) on its regular-season slate. OU plays eight opponents that earned bowl berths last season.
The Sooners’ non-conference schedule includes home games against Tulsa (Sept. 3) and Ball State (Oct. 1), as well as a Sept. 17 contest at Florida State. Key home games during conference play include contests against Missouri (Sept. 24), Texas Tech (Oct. 22) and Texas A&M (Nov. 5).
