TCU (42-17) will open against Oral Roberts (36-20) Friday in the Fort Worth Regional of the NCAA tournament at Lupton Stadium. Oklahoma (41-17), the No. 2 seed, will face Dallas Baptist (39-17) in Game 2. The regional will last through Sunday with a playback championship game Monday, June 6, if necessary.
The winner of the Fort Worth Regional will face the winner of the Houston Regional hosted by Rice (41-19, the No. 8 national seed) which includes Baylor, California, and Alcorn State.
The Horned Frogs defeated Oral Roberts 6-4 in their last meeting, May 17 in Fort Worth. They lost both meetings against Oklahoma this season. Their eight-game losing streak against the Sooners dates back to 2007. Dallas Baptist also defeated TCU twice this season.
Texas and Texas A&M are also hosting Regionals. The Aggies (42-18) will be joined by Arizona, Seton Hall, and Wright State. The No. 7 national seed Longhorns (43-15) will host Texas State, Kent State, and Princeton in Austin.
