TCU baseball added volunteer assistant coach Chuck Jeroloman to its staff, head coach Jim Schlossnagle announced Thursday.
Jeroloman was a three-year starter at Auburn before playing professionally the last seven years. He replaces Ryan Shotzberger, who was named assistant coach at Houston for Todd Whitting. Whitting was an assistant at TCU until taking the Houston job in 2010. Shotzberger had been with TCU for five seasons.
"[Jeroloman] comes highly recommended from people throughout the college and professional baseball world," Schlossnagle said.
"I am extremely excited to join the staff at TCU," said Jeroloman. "This is one of the better programs in the country and it’s an honor to be part of the staff. I have heard people say nothing but good things about the program, staff and school. I have a lot of respect for coaches (Jim) Schlossnagle, (Randy) Mazey and (Tony) Vitello. Ihope I can help add to what they have already started here at TCU. I want to play a part in getting this team back to Omaha."
