Oklahoma players took part in their first practice of fall football drills this morning in Norman, Okla. The Sooners are overwhelming favorites to win the Big 12 championship, receiving 41 of 43 first-place votes in a preseason poll of Big 12 media members who cover the league.
Oklahoma also received the No. 1 ranking in today's preseason USA Today/coaches poll, receiving 42 of 59 available first-place votes. Other top votes went to No. 2 Alabama (13), No. 3 Oregon (2) and No. 4 LSU (2).
