Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill is one of 16 finalists for the 2011 Campbell Trophy, given to the top scholar-athlete in college football. The award honors players for their efforts on the field and in the classroom. Tannehill, who completed his degree in biology with a 3.63 GPA, is taking graduate courses this semester with an eye toward medical school. Each finalist receives an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship, with the winner receiving a $25,000 grant. The winner will be announced Dec. 6 in New York. Kansas State defensive back Tysyn Hartman also is a Campbell finalist.
