Oklahoma running back Dominique Whaley, who remains the team’s leading rusher despite suffering a season-ending ankle injury on Oct. 29, is one of 10 semifinalists for the Burlsworth Trophy, given to the nation’s top walk-on player. Whaley, a junior, rushed for 627 yards and nine touchdowns in the team’s first six games. The winner will be announced Dec. 9.
