A total of 30 teams remain under consideration to land berths in the five BCS bowls, including TCU, Baylor, Houston, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kansas State.
BCS officials released the list today, freeing officials from non-BCS games to begin deliberations about which bowl-eligible teams they can pursue for their contests.
Among the schools with Big 12 or Texas connections, No. 4 Oklahoma State (10-1, 7-1 in Big 12) and No. 9 Oklahoma (8-2, 5-2) remain in contention to earn the automatic BCS berth given to the Big 12 champion. At-large candidates in the BCS bowl pool include No. 20 TCU (9-2), No. 18 Baylor (7-3), No. 8 Houston (11-0) and No. 11 Kansas State (9-2).
Other teams in the at-large pool include No. 7 Boise State (9-1), No. 15 Michigan (9-2), No. 22 Notre Dame (8-3) and No. 12 South Carolina (9-2).
