Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III, the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner, projects as a Top 10 pick if he enters the 2012 NFL Draft. At least in the estimation of one Las Vegas oddsmaker that has set 8.5 as the over/under for the slot where Griffin would be selected if the fourth-year junior chooses to head to the NFL in April.
In addition, the Bovada.lv site (formerly Bodog.com) also has set the over/under for anticipated bowl wins by Big 12 schools at 6.5. That’s a pretty high number for a league with only eight bowl participants.
But it corresponds with the league’s .900 winning percentage in non-conference play this season. Big 12 teams finished 27-3 in those matchups, the best non-conference record in league history.
