Oklahoma defensive end Ronnell Lewis, an All-Big 12 performer who had 59 tackles and 13 tackles for losses during the regular season, will bypass his senior season and enter the 2012 NFL Draft.
Lewis made the announcement today. In a statement issued by the school, Lewis said he consulted with family members, OU coaches and NFL evaluators before making his decision. Lewis said he is “looking forward to what the future holds.”
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Lewis leaves the school “with our best wishes …. He has the skill to be a successful NFL player and we fell he’ll do well there.”
