TCU men's basketball sits at No. 91 in the RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) according to statsheet.com after losing at Wyoming Tuesday night.
The Horned Frogs will need to win the Mountain West Conference tournament (March 8-10 in Las Vegas), or at least make it to the tournament championship game to earn a trip to the NCAA tournament. But the NIT is still possible, especially if the Frogs (17-12, 7-6 in the MWC) can beat No. 21 San Diego State in the regular-season finale at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum at 6 p.m. Saturday.
A loss Saturday would likely force the Frogs to win a couple games at the MWC tournament to earn a postseason berth. There's still the possibility TCU could earn a postseason berth to one of the smaller tournaments, as well.
Here's how statsheet.com ranks the MWC teams in RPI as of today:
12. UNLV
25. Colorado State
28. San Diego State
32. New Mexico
78. Wyoming
91. TCU
157. Air Force
164. Boise State
