Texas A&M has tweaked its 2012 non-conference football schedule, dropping a season-opening game against McNeese State in favor of an Aug. 30 date against Louisiana Tech in Shreveport, La. The Aggies’ new season opener will be on Thursday night, school officials announced.
In addition, A&M has added a Sept. 22 game in Kyle Field against South Carolina State. The Aggies still have one open date for a non-conference game, Nov. 17, that will be filled later.
The schedule switch means A&M’s home opener will be Sept. 8 against Florida in the Aggies’ first conference game as an SEC member.
