Texas Tech hires Tate as its new defensive line coach

Texas Tech has hired Fred Tate, a former assistant coach at Marshall, to coach its defensive linemen, school officials announced today. Tate, who coaches safeties at Marshall, replaces Terry Price, who joined the staff at Texas A&M, his alma mater.
