Texas guard J’Covan Brown, the Big 12’s leading scorer, issued a statement today saying he is exploring early entry in the 2012 NBA Draft but has not made a final decision about bypassing his senior season. The Austin American-Statesman, citing an NBA source, reported that Brown planned to enter the 2012 draft. In today’s statement, distributed by school officials, Brown said: “I have not made any decision on my basketball future … I’m heading home (to Port Arthur) for the weekend to spend some time with my family and talk with them. I also plan to get some info from the NBA on where I might be picked, if I decide to enter the draft. When my decision is made, I’ll let everyone know.”
