Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk, a transfer from Oregon, rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown while quarterback Nick Florence completed 14-of-18 passes for 183 yards and three scores to highlight the Bears’ final spring scrimmage today in Waco.
Seastrunk, a five-star signee from Temple who will be a sophomore in the fall, scored on a 75-yard run and averaged 19.7 yards on seven carries. Fellow backs Jarred Salubi (7 carries, 88 yards) and Glasco Martin (8 carries, 58 yards, one TD) also had their moments.
Florence, the heir apparent to departed Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Robert Griffin III, threw touchdown strikes to Lanear Sampson, Antwan Goodley and Levi Norwood.
Defensive highlights included a 36-yard fumble return for a touchdown by safety Collin Brence.
