Texas cornerback A.J. White has been given an unconditional release from his scholarship and plans to transfer to another school, White and school officials announced today.
White, who will be a junior next fall, said in a statement that he “felt like I needed to get a new start” but did not specify where he plans to transfer. The DeSoto graduate played in 17 games over two seasons, making nine tackles.
