Nebraska running back Aaron Green, a sophomore from San Antonio, announced plans to transfer to TCU on his Twitter account tonight (@AGreen_2). Green, who told reporters last month that he would be leaving Nebraska, posted: “I will be finishing my football career at Texas Christian University, aka TCU!”
Green (5-foot-11, 190 pounds) rushed for 105 yards on 24 carries as a freshman last season for the Cornhuskers. In his final season at San Antonio Madison, Green rushed for 1,717 yards and 19 touchdowns on 240 carries.
Green told the San Antonio News-Express in a story published online Friday night that a film session with coach Gary Patterson during Green's visit to TCU a week ago Friday was the determining factor.
“Man, it's my style of play,” Green said. “Speed everywhere. It's real explosive and real exciting to watch."
His father told the newspaper that he also considered Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Houston.
