Running back Aaron Green, a former standout from San Antonio Madison High School has transferred to TCU from Nebraska. Green announced the move a few weeks ago and TCU made it official Wednesday.
Green will have to sit out the 2012 season per NCAA transfer rules. He’ll have three years of eligibility beginning in 2013. Green played in 12 games with the Cornhuskers as a freshman in 2011, scoring two touchdowns on 105 yards. He was ranked the No. 11 recruit nationally out of high school after rushing for almost 5,000 yards at Madison.
He’s a timely addition for the Frogs’ future backfield with the loss of Ed Wesley this spring and three others – Matthew Tucker, Waymon James and Aundre Dean set to graduate the next two years.
