DaCarlos Humphrey, a multi-position football player at Mansfield Legacy, has accepted a football scholarship to play at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
Humphrey (5-foot-10, 165 pounds) played quarterback, running back and slot receiver for the Broncos during his high school career. As a senior, he accounted for 1,108 total yards, 16 touchdowns and five 2-point conversions. As a junior, he rushed for 919 yards and six touchdowns and holds Legacy school records for rushing yards in a game (280), rushing TDs in a game (four) and points scored in a game (28).
Humphrey, a 4.4 sprinter, also was a two-time regional finalist on the Legacy track team. Nebraska-Kearney is an NCAA Division II school in the MIAA Conference.
