Officials at the Davey O’Brien Foundation announced today that they will increase the award to the winner of the Davey O’Brien High School Scholarship to $30,000, up from $20,000 last year. In addition, the awards given to the four semifinalists will be $2,500, up from $1,000 last year. The recipient will be honored Feb. 18 at the Fort Worth Club, along with the winner of the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award.
