Texas A&M offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury is one of five finalists for the Broyles Award, given to the top assistant coach in college football. Other finalists announced Monday include Georgia’s Mike Bobo, Notre Dame’s Bob Diaco, Florida’s Dan Quinn and Stanford’s Derek Mason.
Kingsbury, also the Aggies’ quarterbacks coach, has overseen an attack that ranks third nationally in total offense (552.3 yards per game) and fourth in scoring (44.8 avg.) among FBS schools. No. 9 A&M (10-2) ranks first among SEC teams in rushing (235.1 avg.), passing (317.3 avg.), scoring and total offense this season.
