A&M University Police released a statement this morning that Johnson, 18, was found in Dallas at approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning with help from the Dallas Police Department and the Texas Rangers law enforcement agency. University police investigators traveled to Dallas as part of the search.
In its statement, police said: “No further details regarding this incident are being released.”
University requested help Wednesday night in locating Johnson, a freshman from Dallas Skyline who had been missing since Monday. Johnson ranks third on the team in receptions, with 30 catches for 339 yards and a touchdown.
“We are pleased and relieved to find T.J.,” Sumlin said in a statement distributed by school officials. “Our foremost concern is for the health and wellbeing of T.J. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and efforts in locating him.”
The missing person’s report issued Wednesday night said Johnson was last seen leaving his College Station residence at 5 p.m. Monday. He was a no-show for an A&M practice scheduled later that evening.
