The eyes of the nation fall on Fort Worth at 6 p.m. Saturday night when TCU hosts No. 2-ranked Kansas State at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
The hype surrounding one of the top games on the slate Saturday also is drawing the attention of high school recruits wanting to get a taste of the national buzz and the TCU experience.
Leading the list of those uncommitted recruits visiting Saturday is Waco senior defensive tackle Andrew Billings, who has 23 offers from schools such as TCU, Oklahoma and Texas Tech.
Also taking in the game will be Mesquite senior wide receiver Dameon Gamblin, who has seen interest from the Horned Frogs increase in recent weeks as Gamblin has been a key cog in Mesquite's undefeated run this season. Gamblin said TCU is his top choice, should the Horned Frogs offer, but he is expecting an offer from New Mexico soon.
Several players that have already expressed a verbal commitment to TCU for the class of 2013 will make it to the game including East Bernard, Texas athlete Ty Slanina, Arlington outside linebacker Sammy Douglas, Frisco Centennial cornerback Ranthony Texada and Arlington Bowie safety Steve Wesley.
Coming with Texada is Baylor verbal commit and Frisco Centennial senior defensive tackle Kevin Smith.
