No other details have been released at this point.
A&M University Police requested help Wednesday night in locating Johnson, a freshman from Dallas Skyline who had been missing since Monday. Johnson ranks third on the team in receptions, with 30 catches for 339 yards and a touchdown.
“We are pleased and relieved to find T.J.,” Sumlin said in a statement distributed by school officials. “Our foremost concern is for the health and wellbeing of T.J. I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and efforts in locating him.”
The missing person’s report issued Wednesday night said Johnson was last seen leaving his College Station residence at 5 p.m. Monday. He was a no-show for an A&M practice scheduled later that evening.
