The list included free safety Cody Davis, a Stephenville High School graduate who signed with St. Louis. Other signees include quarterback Seth Doege (Atlanta), offensive lineman Deveric Gallington (Oakland) and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle (Detroit).
Two former Oklahoma State players from Tarrant County high schools also landed free-agent deals: offensive guard Lane Taylor, an Arlington Martin graduate, signed with Green Bay and kicker/punter Quinn Sharp, a three-time All-American from Mansfield Summit, agreed to terms with Cincinnati.
Other players from area colleges who announced free-agent deals include Baylor receiver Lanear Sampson (Indianapolis), Texas A&M defensive back Steven Terrell (Jacksonville), Texas A&M defensive back Dustin Harris (Dallas), Texas A&M receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu (Houston), Stephen F. Austin/former Baylor defensive end Willie Jefferson (Houston), Oklahoma State linebacker Alex Elkins (Detroit).
