Junior quarterback David Ash will miss Saturday's game against TCU, Texas announced Sunday night.
While he continues to recover from a head injury suffered in last month's loss to Kansas State, Ash has been ruled out for the third straight game. He did not play in either of the Longhorns' last two wins over Iowa State or Oklahoma.
Ash's absence when Texas travels to Fort Worth means that senior Case McCoy, coming off an inspired performance in the Longhorns' Red River Rivalry triumph last weekend, will make his fourth start of the year.
Senior safety Adrian Phillips (stinger) and sophomore linebacker (elbow) Dalton Santos were both injured during that victory over the Sooners and will be evaluated in practice this week but are expected to play against the Horned Frogs this upcoming weekend.
