Texas A&M officials announced plans for a $16 million renovation of the school’s football complex Thursday, with upgrades to the locker room, athletic training facilities, meeting rooms and coaches’ offices. University regents approved the work on the 11-year-old facility.
The upgrades, funded through gifts from the 12th Man Foundation, are expected to be complete by summer 2015. Renovation of the football complex is separate from an ongoing $450 million renovation of Kyle Field but will occur simultaneously to maximize construction efficiency.
In addition, A&M officials announced that Fox Sports Southwest will air a live show Wednesday from campus on National Signing Day (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.). A&M also is one of 12 schools where ESPN will have a reporter on-site to provide live reports on ESPNU, beginning at 7 a.m.
