Texas forward Jonathan Holmes, who has not been completely healthy for the past month due to an ailing right knee, said Wednesday he feels close to 100 percent going into the Longhorns' first game of the Big 12 tournament against West Virginia.
"I'm good. I'm ready to go," Holmes said after Wednesday's practice at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. "I'm as close to 100 percent as I've been since it happened. I feel great going into the tournament."
Holmes, the Longhorns' leading scorer at 13 points per game, injured his knee in a loss to Kansas State on Feb. 8 and has since missed home games against Oklahoma State (Feb. 11) and TCU (March 5). The junior was a game-time decision before a 59-53 loss at Texas Tech in Texas' regular season finale last Saturday, when he played only 21 minutes.
