ARLINGTON -- Creighton forward Doug McDermott was named the the Oscar Robertson Player of the Year award winner Friday morning at AT&T Stadium.
A 6-8 senior forward, McDermott led the nation in scoring this past season with 26.9 points per game. He also finished his carere fifth on the NCAA/s all-time scoring list with 3,150 points.
Dermott is expected to be a lottery pick in the June NBA Draft. In fact, Robertson compared McDermott to Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant.
On Thursday, McDermott was chosen as the Associated Press Player of the Year.
