Former TCU safeties coach Chad Glasgow is returning to the Horned Frogs’ staff, according to several sources at the school.
Glasgow was Texas Tech’s defensive coordinator this season after being hired away from TCU last spring. Glasgow, who coached TCU safeties for nine seasons, will likely coach the safeties again, but his title and role could be expanded.
Trey Haverty, who coached the Frogs’ safeties in 2011, will move to receivers coach. Haverty, who was a graduate assistant at TCU from 2007 to ’09, was an All-American receiver at Texas Tech from 2001-04.
Rusty Burns, who has coached TCU’s receivers the last three seasons, will move to quarterbacks and will likely be promoted to co-offensive coordinator, alongside Jarrett Anderson.
Justin Fuente, who coached Frogs’ quarterbacks and was the co-coordinator the last three seasons, took the head job at Memphis in early December.
TCU coach Gary Patterson did not return a phone call Tuesday and has said he would wait to announce staff changes until after the season. TCU defeated Louisiana Tech 31-24 in the Poinsettia Bowl two weeks ago.
