That was fast

Four plays, 90 yards and the Oklahoma Sooners lead Texas A&M 7-0. DeMarco Murray did the most damage on a 70-yard run through a huge hole up the middle on the game's second play. Two plays later, Sam Bradford was untouched on a 14-yard run around right end for the touchdown.

Texas A&M was three-and-out on its first series, and the Sooners are starting at their own 32.

Aggies win second straight

Texas A&M has won back-to-back games for the first time this season, thanks in large part to a lightly recruited freshman free safety. After Colorado scored to pull within a touchdown and then got the ball back a final time with 2:53 left, Trent Hunter saved the day with a diving interception -- his second pick in the second half. That allowed the Aggies to run out the clock. Jorvorskie Lane's 6-yard gain on third-and-2 from midfield sealed the 24-17 victory as Texas A&M improved to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the Big 12.

Aggies turn things around in a hurry

After a horrific first half, Texas A&M's offense was virtually unstoppable in the third quarter, scoring on three of its four possessions. The Aggies lead 24-10 heading into the fourth quarter after a 10-yard touchdown pass from Jerrod Johnson to Jeff Fuller, the second time the duo has hooked up for a third-quarter scoring play. Texas A&M outgained Colorado 212-55 in total yardage for the quarter.

A&M takes the lead

Texas A&M wasted no time capitalizing on a 19-yard punt by Colorado late in the third quarter. On the next play, Jerrod Johnson found freshman receiver Jeff Fuller streaking down the A&M sideline and hit him in stride. Fuller caught the ball over Jalil Brown and broke a tackle by Ryan Walters for a 59-yard touchdown to put the Aggies up 17-10 with 3:27 left in the third quarter.

Aggies strike fast in third quarter

Texas A&M had almost as many yards on its opening drive of the third quarter as it did in the entire first half. The Aggies drove 68 yards in six plays, scoring on Jerrod Johnson's 32-yard pass to Ryan Tannehill, who made the grab despite being well-covered. The game is tied 10-10 with 12:02 left.

Aggies looking awful

What an awful first half. After posting two 500-yard efforts in the past three weeks, Texas A&M is taking a giant step backward today on offense. The Aggies have just 76 total yards on 30 plays -- an average of 2.5 yards per play -- at halftime. Colorado, which had only 199 yards in the entire game last week against Missouri, has 219 yards but is leading just 10-3 because of a missed field goal and an interception in the end zone. Things have to get better in the second half for Texas A&M, right?

Colorado extends lead before halftime

A 31-yard punt return by Josh Smith gave Colorado excellent field position at the Texas A&M 32-yard line with 1:11 left in the opening half. An offsides penalty on the Aggies on a third-down stop prolonged the drive, and the Buffaloes were able to kick a field goal with 3 seconds left. Jameson Davis replaced Aric Goodman, who missed his seventh consecutive kick in the first quarter, and booted the 30-yarder to make it 10-3 at the half.

Aggies staying close

A missed field goal by Colorado -- its seventh straight -- and an interception in the end zone by Devin Gregg have saved the Aggies in the first half. Randy Bullock booted a 39-yard field goal with 5:43 left in the second quarter to help Texas A&M close to within 7-3.

Turnover helps Colorado take lead

Each team has forced an early turnover, but Colorado took advantage of its opportunity for a 7-0 lead against the Aggies midway through the first quarter. The Buffs got the ball on the Texas A&M 43 after quarterback Jerrod Johnson fumbled when he was hit by defensive tackle Curtis Cunningham and Brandon Nicolas recovered. Five plays later, Rodney Stewart beat Devin Gregg to the corner as he ran around left end for a 6-yard touchdown. Colorado's score was set up by a 23-yard gain when Darrell Scott took a handoff, ran right, then fired a lateral back across the field to Cody Hawkins, who fielded it cleanly on a bounce and fired a pass to a wide-open Riar Greer.

Goodson, Peterson out; Schneider back

Tailback Mike Goodson (sprained knee) and free safety Jordan Peterson (shoulder) are not in uniform and apparently won't play for Texas A&M today against Colorado. Both players also sat out last week at Iowa State. However, there is one bit of good news. Right tackle Travis Schneider worked with the first team in pregame warmups and it seems he will be able to return from the high ankle sprain that has sidelined him the past two weeks.
