Real fans wear pink

Img_0594_2 Rhonda Madsen from North Richland Hills was sports a pink, jeweled Brett Favre jersey for the game. "I bought it at Lambeau Field," she said.

The message behind the jersey? Even better. The jerseys were designed by Favre's wife, Deanna, and are being sold to raise money to support breast cancer awareness. Deanna was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2004, and since then has started the Deanna Favre Hope Foundation to help women who are underinsured fight breast cancer.

You can read more about the foundation at the Deanna Favre Hope Foundation website.

This is such a great idea, especially since I'm a sports fan myself! I have a history of cancer in my family, and so have become a community ambassador for Pantene Beautiful Lengths, which is sponsoring a program called the Million Inch Chain. It’s a way for all women to get involved in this important issue and donate their hair to make a big difference to those undergoing treatments for cancer. At http://www.beautifullengths.com/en_US/million_inch/million_inch_qa.jsp
you can get more info and get involved.
