Birthday guests donate over $200k

Jamie Foxx was the star of Monday night's charity birthday bash for Terrell Owens, conducting a live auction as only he can, which generated over $200,000 in proceeds.

Consider this: a Terrell Owens jersey went for $6,000 to Cowboys safety Roy Williams. Williams also won a trip to the U.S. Open golf championships for $4,500. A football autographed by Owens, quarterback Tony Romo, tight end Jason Witten, safety Roy Williams and linebacker DeMarcus Ware went for $7,000. A football helmet autographed by Bob Lilly, Roger Staubach, Tony Romo, Owens, Foxx and Serena Williams went for $15,000. A Super Bowl party at the playboy mansion went for $8,000. The big ticket item was a weekend getaway to Las Vegas, given away by Palms Hotel owner Gavin Maloof. It was initially billed as a penthouse suite at the Palm, but then a sky villa which overlooks the strip and normally goes for $40,000 a night was added to the pot.  Romo outdueled Roy Williams with a final bid $55,000. But Foxx went around the room and encouraged/shamed every table into adding to the pot, increasing the total to well over $100,000.

A night of fun and enjoyment will indeed provide a December to Remember for 81 families in the Dallas area.
