The Cowboys have benefited from good fortune all season and it happened against the Eagles.
Quarterback Tony Romo has had an awful first half. He missed his first six passes before seemingly getting things together with two straight completions, including a 53-yarder to tight end Jason Witten.
But a forced pass to Terrell Owens on the goal line was intercepted by safety Quentin Mikell eight yards deep into the end zone.
Mikell tried to run it out instead of downing the ball and giving the Eagles a first down at the 20.
He was tackled by tight end Tony Curtis and fumbled the ball, giving the ball back to the Cowboys with a first down at the 14 yard line.
