According to an NFL source, Cowboy assistant coaches Jason Garrett and Tony Sparano won't interview with the Falcons until later in the week. That probably means Friday. The Cowboys are scheduled to have regular practices on Wednesday and Thursday, and may have a long weekend off.
As for Cowboys director of scouting Jeff Ireland, he is likely to depart for the Dolphins as their new general manager, but there will be some negotiating that will take place. Ireland is in Miami today to talk to new Dolphins' football boss, Bill Parcells.
If the Dolphins don't want to wait until after the 2008 draft to have Ireland in place, expect them to give the Cowboys some kind of compensation in return. Don't be shocked if it's a low-round draft pick. Either way, Ireland is likely gone it's just a matter of when.
