Garrett Headed Back to Atlanta

Jason Garrett's move to Baltimore to be their next head coach hit a snag: He wants to go back and talk to the Falcons about their vacancy. A source said after Garrett interviewed with the Ravens on Tuesday morning and was offered the job, he flew to Atlanta to talk to Falcons for a second interview.
At the same time, an NFL source said Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will try to keep the first-year offensive coordinator with the team. There are some things Jones can put in Garrett's contract that could entice him to stay, i.e. more money, but including guarantees that Garrett will be the team's next head coach is not one of them.

I can understand why Jerry Jones will not put a clause in the contract with Jason Garrett to guarantee he will be the next head coach. I hope that something can be finalized to keep Jason in Dallas and let him have a little more time to mature into the head coach position. The Jones family are very close to Jason Garret in their feelings and it would be great if all would work out for the team and Jason. But let everyone back Wade Phillips as he IS the head coach.
