There is another town and fan base that is in a similar position as Cowboy nation is today: Indianapolis, home of the defending Super Bowl champion Colts.
Remember, they were supposed to win Sunday and move on to face the Patriots in a re-match of last year's AFC title game? Of course, the Chargers ruined that by winning in the RCA Dome's final football game a few hours before the Cowboys season ended.
So now the Colts are left to answer the same types of questions, and there fans are feeling a tad unfulfilled ... again.
Colts linebacker Gary Brackett told Indianapolis Star columnist Bob Kravitz, "I'm going to get up at 7:30 Wednesday, and I'll have nowhere to go. I hadn't planned for this. I have no itinerary, no plans. I'd cleared my schedule for the next few weeks. ... Maybe I'll go to Cabo (San Lucas). Maybe run into (Tony) Romo and Jessica Simpson down there."
All three certainly have the time.
