Cowboys new assistant Brett Maxie has finally arrived at Valley Ranch. He started the job on Monday. Maxie will be an assistant secondary coach working with former Cowboys head coach Dave Campo.
Maxie, who has 10 years of coaching experience, coached safeties with Miami last season. This will be a return home for Maxie, who attended Dallas Madison. Maxie was Wade Phillips' final hire and now all of his new assistants are in place at Valley Ranch. The Cowboys officially announced Maxie's hiring today.
Maxie's move to the area could impact area high school football. His oldest son, who is 15, is a quarterback. Guess where the family is considering moving? Southlake.
