Rookie minicamp begins Friday

Amendola The Cowboys rookie minicamp starts Friday and ends Sunday. The workouts will include the Cowboys six draft picks, undrafted free agents and seven first-year players.

The players will workout twice on Friday and Saturday and will have weightlifting and meetings on Sunday.

Several of the undrafted free agents carry interesting storylines. Hamption DE Marcus Dixon served 15 months in jail for aggravated child molestation and statutory rape. Can Texas Tech WR Danny Amendola (left) become a Wes Welker clone? Midwestern State Daniel Polk is switching from quarterback to wideout. Maryland RB Keon Lattimore's big brother is Ravens LB Ray Lewis. And Oklahoma State FB Julius Crosslin will be there to provide a recap of coach Mike Gundy's ''I'm a man. I' 40.'' post-game rant last season.
