Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman admitted it probably wouldn't be a bad idea if safety Roy Williams spoke for himself, rather than players continually taking questions for him. Roy declined to make himself available to the media yesterday. Real surprise there.
Roy has an icy relationship with the Dallas-Fort Worth media and is often one of the first players out of the locker room after games. To his credit, he was better last year making himself more available. Each time Roy talks, though, it becomes a tired defense of everybody not knowing what coverage the Cowboys are in. The Roy story won't go away, for now, until he talks. Or his teammates quit talking about him.
