Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens has been quiet and patient about a potential contract extension. Maybe he just knew a big deal was in the works the whole time. Owens, who had one year left on his contract, agreed to a three-year contract extension for $27 million on Monday.
The Pro Bowl receiver will get his wish of finishing his career as a Cowboy. Owens is signed through the 2011 season and a press conference is expected Tuesday afternoon at Valley Ranch to announce his signing. Remember when Owens was signed? Fans gave him one, maybe two years. If he finishes his contract he will have played six years in Dallas. Getcha some more popcorn ready.
Owens has also seen a tranformation in Dallas. He has gone from a first-year headache providing weekly dramas under Bill Parcells to a team leader under Wade Phillips who will even cry for his quarterback.
