Wade's World: Thursday edition

Cowboys_camp_735 Nuggets from Wade Phillips press conference this afternoon....

* OLB DeMarcus Ware was held out as a precaution. Ware is expected to return for Friday's two-a-days.

* Phillips said the vicious hit by Marion Barber on LB Tyson Smith and the first thing he said was Smith was out tomorrow.

* Said Marcus Spears and Jay Ratliff wanted more work at their new positions before switching back. But are they really switching back in the long run?

* Watch out for G Joe Berger. Phillips raved about his camp so far and is one of the best players early on. Could he be pushing starting LG Kyle Kosier? Watch out for that possibility.

* Officials worked today's practice and they will go over the rules tonight with the team. Sounds like a fun night for the Cowboys.

* LB Tearrius George and CB Quincy Butler will probably be out Friday. Have to think CB Alan Ball will too with a sprained ankle.

* Thought team came out dragging today. So he talked to the coaches and the "influential" players to change the tempo.

Cowboys_camp_520 * Said Martellus Bennett showing the things they drafted him for and is blocking well. Said Bennett in much better shape than he was during the mini-camp.

* Said the amazing weather is allowing the players to bounce back faster and they are not drained by heat.
