Casey Rabach, Cowboys Defensive Playmaker

Redskins center Casey Rabach isn't going to be allowed on the team plane if they lose this game. In fact, he may be cut before the Redskins reach the locker room if they lose.
Twice Rabach was called for penalties that wiped out Redskins touchdowns. The first came on a holding call that negated a Clinton Portis TD run midway through the third quarter. A few plays later, Rabach put on his stupid pants again and was called for illegal man down field that nullified a Santana Moss touchdown catch.
Apparently the Cowboys defense can't stop the Redskins, but Casey Rabach can.

Another Moss Kills the Cowboys

Randy Moss is usually hailed as the top Cowboy killer in the game right now, but Redskins receiver Santana Moss is doing his best to take that title away.
He has seven catches for 142 yards, and there are more than 23 minutes remaining in the game.

Watkins reinjures shoulder

Safety Patrick Watkins has a bad shoulder that keeps bothering him. He is being looked at right now on the sidelines and Courtney Brown is in.

That was Quick

Wade Phillips apparently dropped the hammer on Jason Garrett at the half, demanding the ball be thrown to Terrell Owens. OK, so maybe it didn't go down quite like that but making T.O. option No. 1 has happened.
On the first drive of the second half, Tony Romo three passes to Owens for a total of 39 yards, the last of which resulted in a Cowboys' game-tying touchdown.

Spencer, Kick Returner

Turns out if Anthony Spencer is not able to make the type of impact on defense the way the Cowboys hope, he can on special teams.
He just returned the opening kickoff of the second-half for 18 yards, and actually looked good in doing so.
He was a fullback in high school before he focused on the whole defense thing.

First Half Observations

* Terence Newman might be better off staying in the locker room. He's been burned once for a touchdown and another long bomb.

* It's not as if Anthony Henry is doing that much better. The Redskins Size-2 receivers are routinely burning the Cowboys secondary on these quick hit passes from Jason Campbell. Of course, the Cowboys front-seven are welcome to get some pressure on Campbell. And don't give me some Wade Phillips "They have two sacks" answer. Campbell has had time to find his guys.

* Marion Barber has eight yards on five carries in the first half. Felix Jones has no yards on no carries.
You do the math.

* The Cowboys are trying to force feed Terrell Owens the ball and it's still not working. He has 11 yards on two catches. A quick look at the math and Owens now has a total of four receptions over the past eight quarters.

Folk pulls Cowboys within 7

Kicker Nick Folk remains steady and just hit a 36-yard FG to pull the Cowboys within 17-10 lead at the half.

Halftime stats that jump out.....

Marion Barber 5 carries for 8 eights.

Santana Moss has 6 catches for 125 yards.

Terence Newman has given up two TD passes and a 53-yard catch by Moss.

Terrell Owens 2 catches for 11 yards.

Redskins extend lead

Redskins up 17-7 after 20-yard field by ex-Cowboys Shaun Suisham. And it came thanks to the Santana Moss Show. He has 6 catches for 125 yards today. Moss is a Cowboys killer and had two 100-yard games last season and guess who both were against? The Cowboys.

CB Terence Newman is having a day to forget. He has given up two TDs and a 53-yard completion. And there is still another half to play. Newman still bothered by the groin injury?

Cowboys trying like crazy to get T.O. involved

But it's not working. Terrell Owens had a drop on the first play of the Cowboys last drive. He is coming off his least productive game as a Cowboy last week against the Packers and has one catch for seven yards today. Owens also has one end around rush for 6 yards.

Part of the problem for Owens is CB Shawn Springs. He's been all over him today.
