Pathetic. Blame goes all around. Wade, Garrett, Stewart have to take this one. the team was not prepared, and they failed to make the right adjustments. Where is the urgency? Wade would rather be liked than win a championship. Garrett is getting too cute; the playcalling was awful against Philly and got worse in this game. Where was the running game? If Marion is not able to power it, get Felix in the game. Stewart's players are either poorly coached or too stupid to grasp basics of the scheme. Stupid penalties, bad tackling, awful coverage. Newman looked like Roy Willy out there today. We can;t block London Fletcher? give me a break.
All these millionaires playing and coaching are not doing their job. Just a sorry effort on all their parts; I'm disappointed so far in this team. This team believes that Romo can pull them out of any scrape and that makes them soft.

Not much to say, thank you Washington for bringing us back to reality.

Does it take a ESPN analyst to understand why the Cowboys lost ? No way, anyone with a clear, objective mind saw that the Cowboys abandoned the run game like a Ford Pinto with a gast tank recall. Why? Who knows but let us ask Romo, Garrett, and Wade "I am a players coach" Phillips. I cannot stand the pundits. All they say now is: Romo isn't that good, tell me what he has won, Nothing. OH, it's all TO's fault because he complained about his touches so much that the BOYS were so busy trying to get him the ball that they forgot about the Redskins. Oh those guys at ESPN, They blame TO for everything, The fall of Russia, Global Warming, and now the Banking collapse. TO's been a busy, busy boy. Ruining the World and the Cowboys. Okay, guys and all you ESPN experts, Yes, the Cowboys pass defense can be summed up in one word: Titantic. But, the disaster has been lingering for years and has not been addressed. Yes, the BOYS abandoned the RUN, but does that mean they suck, does it mean TO is ruining the BOYS by making Romo, Garrett, and Wade call plays only directed towards him, No. The Cowboys were out coached and out played. They need discipline Mr. Phillips, discipline to stop the stupid penalties, discipline to stick with the game plan, and discipline to just shut up, play the game and quiet the naysayers.

I AM A TRUE COWBOY FAN LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS BLOG,BUT I HAVE TO SAY A FEW THINGS HERE.FIRST OF ALL,WE WERE TRYING TO THREAD THE NEEDLE WITH T.O.,IF HE IS NOT OPEN DO NOT THROW THE DAMN BALL.I UNDERSTAND THAT HE IS A GREAT PLAYER & SOON TO BE A H.O.F PLAYER BUT WE CAN NOT BABY HIM.HIS CHANCES WILL COME BECAUSE SOMEONE WILL SLIP.WE HAVE TOO MUCH FIRE POWER TO DEVOTE OURSELVES TO ONE PLAYER.WE DIDNT GET TO SEE FELIX,WE DID NOT RUN THE BALL(ARE YOU KIDDING ME)ROMO NEEDS TO BE BETTER IN THE RED ZONE(TOO MANY WEAPONS).DAVE CAMPO: MOSS WAS PISSING ALL OVER NEWMAN WHY DIDNT YOU PUT PACMAN ON HIM.THE REASON WHY I SAY THIS IS BECAUSE NEWMAN PLAYED SOFT.PACMAN WILL GET UP ON THE RECEIVER & HIT IN HIS MOUTH WHEN ITS SECOND & EIGHT OR THIRD & FIVE.I CANT REMEMBER WHAT QUARTER IT WAS BUT IT SURE LOOKED LIKE THE REDSKINS KICKER MISSED ONE OF THOSE FIELD GOAL ATTEMPTS.I WISH I RECALL THE QUARTER.

P.S. I read on another blog that one of the Redskin field goals wasn't actually good. As I watched it during the game I said, "No good." I figured that it must have been a bad camera angle (or something). Now I think I was right. But how the h*ll do 2 officials blow a call like that?

No intensity.... Washington was intense.

my thinking is the cowboys, need a new defensive coach.

You have to give it to the coach for calling T.O.'s number so many times. If you look back at the last two or three times the Cowboys have played the Skins, T.O. had great games. But, this time Springs came prepared. You forget that these two use to train together and if anybody was going to have T.O.'s number, it was going to be Springs. I fault the coach for not realizing this and changing the game plan mid-game. I also fault the coaches for not establishing a run game, minus Jason Taylor, against the Skins. Come on now, it is just one game, and sometimes it takes a game early or mid-season to snap some heads out of the air and refocus for the run to the Bowl.

There are five reasons why The Boys got beat. The first two are obvious and the film only corroborates them. 1) They abandoned the run too early. They were never behind enough points at any point in the game to justify that. 2) They DID force the ball to TO too many times to keep him happy. He couldn't handle the physical play at the line of scrimmage and get much separation. 3) When your corners play 8-10 yards off of the receivers, it's imperative that the tackling be crisp and the Cowboys were poor in that area. 4) Poor pass blocking.Tono Romo couldn't get a clean pocket for more than 2 seconds on most plays. But, it's hard to do that when all you do is pass and they know it. 5) The Redskins came to play and executed and deservd to win.

Well been watching em since 1960. Pretty dang sad when your hyped for Super Bowl champs and can't win your home games. One thing a champion team does not do(lose at home). Sorry coaching, sorry offense, pitiful(as I have ever seen)defense just a very, very poor showing for a supposed bunch of pro-bowlers.The Rams could have kicked the Cowboys a-- yesterday. A championship team plays every minute of every down, not so for this over-hyped team.

Yea they stunk up the place pretty good today. And they still don't have a secondary same old story with that one. And if someone can please explain this to me why don't they blitz more there secondary cant cover anyone deep so they need to blitz the QB more so the secondary isn't so exposed. And good old whining T.O cant keep his mouth shut as always did anyone hear the comments he made after the game? Typical T.O he needs to keep his mouth shut grow up which looks like that will never happen and play the game and stop dropping balls like he did again today. Saying he wants the ball more well dude catch the ball when it's thrown to you then and stop dropping them. T.O is such a whiner I cant wait until Jerry finally wises up and gets rid of him then I will get my popcorn ready when that finally happens.

One loss does not make this team so bad,no team will go 16-0 this year. Tha cowboys will bounce back and be ready for their one and done act once the playoffs start

Seemed to me that Newman was the one who dropped the ball today. The Boys are still a very good team, and we shouldn't get too worried about this. It's early and these things will be worked on. Romo did ok, the one pick did end up hurting, but to me the defense was what lost the game. TO is a great receiver, and haters need to cool it. They wouldn't throw him the ball (regardless if he is a whiner or not) if they didn't think he had game-changing ability.

So boy-genius/coach-in-waiting Garrett decided that we didn't need to use Marion barber and Felix jones today? He decided that we didn't need to run. And he decided that owed Owens, that Owens had to be the target of nearly every pass. Wade Phillips said in post-game: " They forced us into passing situations." That is b.s. When you only run 11 times, that is a choice. Dallas was notdown so much that they had to abandon the run. They got pass happy and Dallas does that every once in a while, and they lose when they go away from getting everyone involved.

Who did Owens blackmail to deserve the majority of the passes going to him? Whitten, Crayton, and Austin had a couple of passes thrown to them but it was obvious how much we tried to get the ball to Owens. That led to 3-and-outs in the first half. Throw to Owns incomplete on first down. Run on second down. Set up 3rd and long on third. Punt....

I wonder why boy-genius/coach in waiting Garrett decided that Marion Barber and Felix Jones weren't needed today? I wonder why he took them out of the offense. It was sad to see that we decided that we didn't need to run. It was sad to see us force the ball to Owens all night. Was it the Romo-Owens show? Whitten, Barber, and others didn't matter. Today showed what happens when you focus on the star player. You lose.

Unbalanced offense (Garret)for the Cowboys causing the defense to be on the field to long. Cowboys are 3-1 after playing four good teams. Cowboys are a good team so don't panic ya"ll.

face it, romo is jinxed the same way roy hobbs was jinks when he took up with that bad karma slut. get rid of her and that will be a big help. getting rid of the woner would be an even bigger help; he is too dumb to fire himself. in texas you sure do not have to be smart to get ahead.

I want to know what happened to the running game! Romo carried the ball one time, Owens two times and Barber eight times. Felix Jones had ZERO carries! How can that be? Last week the back field carried for over 200 yards and this week the running backs had eight carries. Romo had 47 passing attempts! We're not Denver or New Orleans, that was about 15 more pass attempts than we should have had. The Cowboys are more balanced than that. The other thing that stood out was the Cowboys multi million dollar secondary is not pulling it weight. I don't think they have even sniffed an interception this season. Enough said!

WE SHOULD HAVE HIRED DOM CAPERS!

Start to wonder about Romo and the big game...Missed several wide open throws today...Defense did its job holding their O to only field goals 3 times in the Red Zone in the second half...Hope Jerry sends a tape of this game to the league office re missed and teriible calls...missed facemask, missed false start, terrible horse collar tackle penalty (did not have hand inside pad, had jersey only)Iwould say overall today grade D at best. Will see how this supposed championship teams reacts...Hope they prepare better for the next game even though it is Cincinnati....

I'm a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, but our defense really, really SUCKS!!! Why can't we cover anybody. It's so frustrating to watch our defense at work. We are not going to no Superbowl with defense like this. The one thing I don't understand is you see the problems on defense every week and they keep on doing the same old things, they won't change.

The Cowgirls stunk up the joint big time what a way to say good bye to texas stadium by losing to the dreaded deadskins, we made their season, the deadskins will be re-energized. The Cowgirls has not covered a game against an NFL rival this season at home. TO is starting to whine, as they say loose lip sink ships. The defense is still about a year away. Now that roy is out of the line up we can't blame him, he was not there. Watkins and Hamlin who suppose to be a Pro-Bowl are playing like free agents. Newman look like toat all day Moss looked like a world beater today, Moss has been a thorn in Newman side since he has been with the deadskins. If this Defense do not start playing up to the hype that Coach Cupcake has given them, it's going to be a long season in Big D. I think the Cowgirls will stink up the joint against the Bengals, this is only the beginning of the end another disappointed season for Jerry. TO, Pacman, D. Ware, Newman and the up and down Romo is not producing. Garrett needs to get his head out of his a** and starting running the ball with barber and jones to take the pressure off of Romo.

How do you come out of a timeout and have 12 men on the field?

Was Felix Jones hurt?

Why did we abandon running the ball, to appease TO?

The cowboys are overrated

R(H)omo seems lost and confused. Go Skins!
