Here's what members of the Cowboys defense had to say after their 31-22 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday:
... Well, that just comes with depth and having good coaching. At the end of the game, we knew it was on us. Our offense did a great job when they had the ball and I'm glad we got a stop at the end.
... Every time you tackle somebody, you try and force a fumble. I just went for the ball and it came out. I had probably the worse game in my life and the big play, so I guess it kind of evens out.
... I saw where he had the ball at and when I tackled him, I went for the ball. I didn't know if it came out or not, but when I saw it rolling, I was like 'We got it!'.
... I'm just not all the way healthy and I price myself on being physical and any time you can't be physical, it's kind of hard to do what you need to do.
... They're a good team, they're a wounded animal and they are 0-4, so they threw the kitchen sink at us. We got their best shot. Their line is good, I didn't even see how they're 0-5 because they're not a bad team by any stretch of the imagination, don't get it twisted. They can compete, but they're having some bad luck.

... I don't know what's wrong with my hands. I'll be doing jugs this week. Push-ups aren't working, so I'm going to get on the jugs. I missed three balls today. I need to get back to the basics, work on my game and work on catching the ball off the break.
... I thought about [scoring on the interception return], but I thought 'I'm not really made out for this right here, let me just get a couple of yards, get to the sidelines, and get out of bounds'. I figured I would take the safe road.
... You can take your hat off to Cincinnati. They fought real hard and played a good game. To be in the same situation that they are in and continue to fight out there, that's real impressive. But our team, we're on the right track now and we have something to build off of. We still made some mistakes out there, but it's a whole lot easier mentally to make those mistakes after a win.
... To get some turnovers and get things going our way, you hope that we get more turnovers in our favor. But you have to go out there and continue to do fundamental things and when you get a chance to make one, you make it.
... We're just getting it done, so I can't give you my honest opinion about the situation. But we realize it wasn't a perfect game, but you have to accept the win and be happy about it and celebrate. You have a 48-hour rule in which it's time to play again, you put up the next opponent and win, lose or draw, you have to do that. So we're going to enjoy this one, we're going to learn from our mistakes and move on to the next opponent.
