Postgame quotables, Jerry Jones version

Here's what Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones had to say after Sunday's 13-9 win over the Bucs:

On Wade Phillips: I gave him the game ball. The way he approached this game was that he was going to keep this thing close. He said 'We are going to be aggressive on defense.'

... It played out exactly like he had it planned. This entire team was proud of him and pleased with the way he coached this game.

... To say that Wade is not involved in this defense is ridiculous.

... Wade Phillips did his job today.

On the defense:
If you had a defense that needed any one individual, Wade Phillips is who you'd go get in the NFL.

... To be a good coach, he has had to have made a lot of good head coaches very successful. That's not taking away from the intensity of the players.

... It was well thought out, well executed.

... Our players were keyed up. They were inspired to get out and play well against Tampa. Jon Gruden is an outstanding coach. This was a real win for us under these circumstances.

On the offense:
In spite of having some trouble executing, we hung in there.

On the gambles by the offense:
I would say I applaud your head coach. Those are calls that you want to make. A lot of people may think they are desperation calls, it's not desperate when you aren't ahead and you have a chance to tied it before the half. It's good psychology.
